Agriculture

The Ottoman empire mainly grew cotton, wheat, barley and corn because they were in a Mediterranean climate. Being in a Mediterranean climate, ment that they have dry, hot summers and  cool, wet winters.

The Ottoman Empire extended its borders deep into Europe and North Africa.

The empire covered the Caucasus, the Taurus, the Atlas and the Balkan mountain ranges.

The Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea was also incorporated into the empire.
